Okay, so I’ve been messing around with astrology charts lately, and I got really into this whole “sun sign, rising sign” thing. I’m a Capricorn sun, which everyone knows is, like, the super serious, workaholic type. But then I found out my rising sign is Taurus, and I was like, “Wait, what does that even mean?”
So, I started digging. First, I had to figure out exactly when and where I was born. Luckily, my mom keeps, like, every single document from my entire life, so she had my birth certificate handy. I plugged all that info into one of those online birth chart calculators.
Boom! Taurus rising. Apparently, this means the first impression I give off is more Taurean than Capricorn. It’s all about how you appear to others, your outward personality at first glance.
The Experiment Begins
I decided to, you know, actually test this. I paid more attention to how people reacted to me in different situations. Like, at the coffee shop, did the barista think I was super intense, ordering my usual black coffee with, like, zero emotion (Capricorn vibes)? Or did I seem more laid-back, maybe even a little…indulgent? (Taurus vibes).
- Coffee Shop Test: Okay, so I definitely didn’t smile much (still a Capricorn at heart!), but I did linger over the pastry selection for a good five minutes. I ended up getting a croissant, which felt VERY Taurus. The barista even commented on how good they smelled. Point for Taurus rising?
- Work Meeting: Usually, I’m all business in meetings. Today, I tried to soften my approach a bit. I made a conscious effort to, like, actually listen more and not just jump in with solutions right away. It felt weird, but people seemed more receptive. Another win for the bull!
- Grocery Store Run: Usually a very fast mission, no looking around. This time I took my time, I enjoyed all the food I wanted. I bought a lot more.
It’s still early days, but I’m kind of seeing it. I think the Taurus rising softens the edges of my Capricorn sun. I still get stuff done, I’m still ambitious, but maybe I come across as a little less…robotic. I might actually enjoy the finer things in life (like that croissant) a little more than I let *’s been a fun little self-discovery experiment, and it’s made me think more about how I present myself to the world.
I observed the results.
I’m starting to think there’s something to this whole astrology thing after all…
