Okay, so today I decided to mess around with the Temperance tarot card, just to see what it’s all about. I’ve been feeling kinda all over the place lately, so the idea of balance and harmony sounded pretty good.
First, I grabbed my favorite tarot deck – the one with the really pretty artwork. I shuffled the cards, you know, the usual way, trying to clear my mind and focus on, well, nothing in particular. Just open to whatever the cards wanted to tell me.
Getting Started
I then laid out a simple three-card spread, nothing fancy. I’ve learned that sometimes the simple spreads are the most insightful.
- The First Card: Representing where am now.
- The Second Card: What should do.
- The Third: And the outcoming.
I flipped over the cards, and of course, Temperance showed up right in the middle. I mean, that’s what I was focusing on, so it made sense. I spent a good few minutes just looking at the card. The imagery is always so calming – that angel pouring water between two cups, the balanced posture, the whole vibe.
My Interpet
I started thinking about what “temperance” actually means in my life right now. It’s not about being boring or never having fun, right? It’s more about finding that sweet spot. Like, not overdoing it with work, but also not slacking off completely. Not eating a whole tub of ice cream, but also not depriving myself of treats. You feel me?
Then I took out my journal and started jotting down some notes. What areas of my life feel out of whack? Where am I going to extremes? It was kinda eye-opening. Turns out, I’ve been burning the candle at both ends with work and then crashing on the weekends, doing absolutely nothing. Not exactly balanced.
I also looked at the card and what surround it, those card just give a big picture of what I should doing.
Making a Plan
So, the Temperance card isn’t just about seeing the problem, it’s about finding solutions. I started brainstorming some small, practical changes I could make.
Things such as:
- Set firm work end time.
- Schedule time for weekend relax.
- Add a few minutes meditation to the day.
Really simple stuff. The card’s message, at least for me, was all about gentle adjustments, not radical overhauls.
Final Thoughts
By the end of my little Temperance session, I felt way more grounded. It’s like the card gave me permission to slow down and find a better rhythm. It’s not a magic fix, obviously, but it’s a good reminder that I need to pay attention to my own well-being and find that balance. I’m definitely going to keep this card in mind as I go through the week. Maybe I’ll even put it on my desk as a little visual reminder!
