Okay, so, let’s talk about this “marriage houses astrology” thing I’ve been digging into. It all started a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon some old notes from my grandma. She was always into stars and charts, you know? And in these notes, she kept mentioning how she figured out when and who she would marry by looking at the stars. Sounds a bit out there, but I got curious.

So, I started reading up on it. I mean, I just Googled “marriage houses astrology,” and wow, there’s a ton of stuff on it. Apparently, it’s all about the 7th house in your birth chart. This house is supposed to tell you about your marriage, partnerships, and all that jazz. I dug out my birth chart – had to figure out the exact time and place I was born, which was a whole mission on its own. Then, I found this 7th house everyone was talking about.
Now, my 7th house is ruled by the sign of Gemini. That was easy. But then, it gets a bit more complicated. You see, each planet in your chart plays a role too. Like, Venus is all about love and marriage, and Jupiter is about growth and luck. So, if these guys are hanging out in your 7th house or aspecting it in some way, it’s supposed to be a good sign for a happy marriage. I checked where Venus and Jupiter were in my chart. Venus is chilling in my 5th house, which I learned is about romance and creativity, while Jupiter is in my 9th house, which is about philosophy and long journeys.
Then, there are these things called “yogas.” Sounds like the exercise, but it’s not. These are special combinations of planets that can give you clues about your marriage. For example, if the lords of your 5th and 7th houses are together in your chart, it could mean a love marriage. I spent hours trying to figure out who these “lords” were for my chart. Turns out, the lord of my 5th house is Mercury, and the lord of my 7th house is also Mercury – because Gemini rules both. And guess what? Mercury is in my 5th house, hanging out with Venus! I also noticed that the 7th house and its lord were aspecting houses like the 1st, 5th, and 9th, which is also supposed to be a good sign.
Now, here’s where it gets a bit tricky. The notes and the stuff I read also talked about something called “Mahadasha.” It’s like a major planetary period that you go through. If you’re in a good Mahadasha related to your 7th house, that’s supposed to be a good time for marriage. I tried to figure out my current Mahadasha, but honestly, it was a bit confusing. I decided to take a break from that part for now.
So, after all this, what did I actually figure out? Well, it seems like my chart does show some potential for a happy love marriage, especially with Mercury and Venus hanging out in my 5th house. But, I’m no astrologer, so I’m taking it all with a grain of salt. I mean, it’s fun to think about, but I’m not going to make any big life decisions based on this alone. But the way I understood how it works, I confirmed my grandmother’s marriage based on her astrological chart!
What I did find interesting, though, is how astrology makes you reflect on your relationships and what you want in a partner. It’s like a fun little tool for self-reflection, in a way.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into marriage houses astrology. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m still not sure what to make of it all. But hey, it’s been fun learning something new, and who knows, maybe there’s something to it after all. What do you guys think?
