Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into astrology lately, like really deep. And I wanted to understand myself better, you know? So I started looking at my sun and rising signs. I’m a Virgo sun, which I kinda already knew – organized, detail-oriented, always making lists. But then I found out I’m an Aries ascendant, and I was like, “Wait, what?” That fiery, impulsive energy? Me?
So, I started this little project to see how these two seemingly opposite energies actually play out in my daily life. I decided to track my actions and reactions for a week, just to observe myself.
The Experiment Begins
- First thing I did: I created a simple notebook. Nothing fancy, just a place to jot down my observations.
- Then, every day, I wrote down situations where I felt that Virgo sun energy – you know, the urge to plan everything, analyze everything, get things just right.
- And then – this was the interesting part – I noted down any times I acted impulsively, boldly, or just… differently than my usual Virgo self. That’s where I figured the Aries ascendant would show up.
The Virgo Side – It’s Strong
Honestly, the Virgo stuff was easy to spot. I spent an hour organizing my spice rack alphabetically (don’t judge!). I made a detailed budget for the month, down to the last penny. I rewrote my to-do list three times to make it perfect. Yeah, classic Virgo.
The Aries Surprise
But then… things got interesting. I signed up for an improv class on a whim. Me! Improv! Usually, I’d overthink something like that for weeks. This time, I just… did it.
Another day, I found myself getting into a (friendly) debate with a stranger about… well, I can’t even remember. But I remember feeling this surge of energy, this need to express my opinion, to be heard. Normally, I’d just avoid any kind of confrontation.
I even started a new hobby painting. Usually I research everything before, but I just went and bought it all impulsivly.
Putting It Together
So, after a week of this, I sat down and looked at my notes. And it was actually pretty clear. The Virgo is definitely there, it’s like my default setting. But that Aries rising… it’s like this hidden layer, this spark that comes out when I least expect it. It’s the part of me that’s not afraid to take risks, to be bold, to be a little… messy. And it needs me to give impluse to my virgo side.
It’s like, the Virgo plans the road trip, meticulously. But the Aries is the one who decides to take a detour down a random dirt road, just to see what’s there. And you know what? I think I like that combination. It’s… me. Still figuring it all out, but it’s a fun ride!
