I shuffled the cards a few times, trying to focus on my intention. After that, I picked out three cards from the deck – one for the past, one for the present, and one for the future. The first card I drew was supposed to represent my past.

After reading through the past card, I went ahead and picked the second card, representing the present. Same deal – read the description, thought about it. Finally, I chose the third card, which was all about the future.
