Alright, so the other day, I got this itch to try something totally off the wall. I’ve always seen those tarot card readers with their fancy decks and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” So, I hopped online and ordered a basic tarot deck—nothing too crazy, just your standard deck.

When the cards arrived, I ripped open the package like a kid on Christmas morning. The first thing I did was shuffle them around, just to get a feel for them, you know? I wasn’t expecting to become some kind of fortune-teller overnight, but I figured it’d be a fun little experiment.
I started reading up a bit about the different cards and their meanings. It’s all pretty wild, to be honest. You got your Major Arcana and your Minor Arcana, and each card has its own little story. Anyway, I came across this one called “The Empress.” Now, this card really caught my eye.
The Empress
The Empress, she’s like the queen bee of the deck, sitting all regal on her throne. I did a little digging, and man, the history of this card is something else. Turns out, these tarot cards have been around since the 1400s! They started as some kind of card game called “tarocchi” back in Europe. Back then, The Empress was just a fancy picture of a queen. But over time, people started seeing more in these cards, you know, like they held some kind of deeper meaning.
- Flipping through the deck: I went through the cards again, trying to focus on this Empress figure. It’s a strong image, I gotta say—a lady with a crown, looking all powerful.
- Tried a basic spread: I laid out a few cards in a simple spread, just three of them, to see what would happen. Pulled The Empress in the middle. I tried to think about what I wanted to know, like how my side hustle was gonna go.
- Looking up interpretations: According to what I read, The Empress can mean abundance and taking care of things. So maybe it meant my side hustle could do well if I put in the work?
I ain’t saying I believe all this stuff one hundred percent, but it’s kinda interesting, right? Like, maybe these cards can give you a little nudge in the right direction or make you think about things in a new way. And who knows, maybe there’s something to this whole “regal figure” thing. It’s like they say, these figures have some weight to them. They represent power and authority.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with tarot cards and this regal Empress lady. It’s been a trip, and I’m not even sure where it’s all going. But hey, it’s fun to shake things up a bit and try something new, even if it’s just messing around with some cards. Maybe I’ll keep at it, maybe I won’t. But for now, it’s a cool little story to tell, right?
