Okay, so yesterday I decided to dive into this whole astrology thing, specifically looking at my sun and rising signs. I’m a Sagittarius sun, which I kind of already knew, but I had no clue about my rising sign. Turns out, I’m a Virgo rising. I figured, what better way to understand this than to actually try and live it out for a day?

Figuring Out the Basics
First, I had to do some digging. I spent like, an hour just Googling “Sagittarius sun” and “Virgo rising.” I learned that Sagittarius is all about adventure, freedom, and being optimistic. Virgo, on the other hand, is more grounded, detail-oriented, and practical. It felt like two totally opposite ends of a spectrum!
The Sagittarius Part: Embracing the Spontaneous
Knowing I was a Sagittarius, I made an effort to begin with that. I decided to say that I wanted to embrace the Sagittarius in me.So:
- I ditched my usual routine. No planned breakfast, no strict schedule. I just woke up and decided to go with the flow.
- I took a random detour on my way to the grocery store. Ended up discovering a cool little park I never knew existed.
- I tried a new coffee shop instead of my regular spot. Small change, but it felt adventurous in a way.
-
Finally, at the end of the day. I just want to be spontaneous, and say whatever that comes to mind, without much planning.
The Virgo Rising Part: Hello, Details!
Then came the Virgo rising challenge. This one was tougher, because I’m not naturally a detail-oriented person. But I tried to embrace the details:
-
I actuallymade listfor the grocery store. And stuck to it!
-
I organized my closet.Yeah, you can say that, something I’ve been putting off for months. It was surprisingly satisfying.
-
When cooking dinner, I try to be focusing on the recipe, measuring everything out instead of just eyeballing it.
-
I spent some time journaling, reflecting on my day and actually writing down my thoughts and observations.
The Mix and Mingle
The whole day was basically me oscillating between these two energies. I’d have a spontaneous urge to do something, then the Virgo rising in me would kick in and want to plan it all out. It was kind of a mental tug-of-war.
My Takeaway?
Honestly? It was exhausting! Trying to be hyper-aware of my actions and how they fit into these astrological profiles was a lot. But, it was also kind of fun. I did things I wouldn’t normally do, and I saw a different side of myself. It has proven that I actually could embrace the both side of me at the same time.

I’m not sure if I totally “get” the whole Sagittarius sun, Virgo rising thing yet. But this little experiment definitely gave me some food for thought. Maybe it’s about finding a balance between the adventurous spirit and the practical, grounded side. Or maybe it’s just about realizing that we’re all complex, multi-faceted beings, and astrology is just one way to try and make sense of it all. I’m not going to become an astrology expert overnight, but it was a fun day of trying something new and learning a little more about myself. Who knew star signs could lead to a closet clean-out and a new favorite park?
