Okay, so here’s my experience with checking out this whole “Sun in the 7th House synastry” thing.

It all started when my buddy, let’s call him Alex, kept going on and on about how he and his girlfriend, Sarah, were like, a match made in the stars. He’s always been into astrology, but lately, it’s been next level. So, naturally, I got curious. He mentioned something about their “Sun in the 7th House synastry” and how it meant they were soulmates or something.
I went down the online research rabbit hole. I started looking up stuff about sun signs and houses, and then specifically “Sun in the 7th House synastry.” Let me tell you, there’s a LOT of info out there. Some of it made sense, some of it was way over my head. But I wanted to see what it was about.
First, I had to figure out where my own Sun was and everything. Used one of those birth chart calculator websites. Turns out, my Sun’s in the 10th house, which is apparently all about career and public image. Makes sense, I guess, ’cause I’m pretty driven in my work life.
Then, I started digging into this 7th house thing. It’s supposed to be the house of partnerships, marriage, and close relationships. So, the idea is that if someone’s Sun falls in your 7th house, it’s supposed to create some kind of significant connection. At that time I remembered Alex said he was born in Gemini, and I was born in Capricorn. Gemini is his sun sign, and Capricorn is my sun sign. Then I did more research, and I found that when one person’s sun sign is in the 7th house of another person’s natal chart, it’s some kind of “good thing” to the relationship. That’s the reason why Alex and Sarah had a strong relationship and almost planned to get married.
Here’s what I learned about the Sun in the 7th house in synastry:
- Strong bond: It seems like it generally means a strong connection and a feeling of really “getting” each other. I read some information saying when your Sun in someone’s 7th house, or vice versa, it created a bond between both of you. You can understand each other very well.
- Partnerships are important: The person with the 7th house placement might really value relationships and see them as a big part of their identity. That’s also why I found Alex always takes his relationship seriously.
- Growth through relationships: It can also indicate that both people help each other grow and evolve, especially in the areas of relationships and how they interact with others. I did see this happen to Alex. When he was not in a relationship, he was not such a good and understanding person. But after he met Sarah, he gradually became a mature and caring person.
I even checked my own synastry with a few close friends and past relationships, just to see what came up. It was kinda interesting. Like, with one ex, their Venus was in my 7th house, which apparently suggests a strong romantic attraction. No wonder things were so intense at the beginning! It’s like seeing a reflection of what happened through this lens.
Honestly, I’m still not 100% sold on all of this. I am a realistic guy. I think there’s probably a lot more to relationships than just where the planets were when you were born. I still think communication, shared values, and all that stuff are way more important. But it was definitely a fun little experiment to see how this “Sun in the 7th House” thing worked and how to interpret it. I can see why people get into it. It’s like a little puzzle, trying to figure out yourself and your relationships.
I won’t go as far as to say that it changed my whole perspective on life or anything, but I can understand why Alex feels this way and why he said he and his girlfriend were a match made in the stars. Maybe I’ll keep this synastry thing in the back of my mind when meeting new people. Who knows, maybe it’ll help me understand them a bit better.
