Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this yes and no tarot card list thing. Sounds like a bunch of hocus pocus to me, but I reckon some people find it useful. So, I’m gonna tell ya what I gathered about it, plain and simple.
What’s this Tarot Thing Anyway?
From what I can tell, these tarot cards, they’re like a deck of playin’ cards, but with pictures and symbols. People use ’em to try and figure things out, like a fortune teller. They ask a question, pull a card, and that card supposedly tells ’em somethin’. Now, I ain’t sayin’ I believe in it, but that’s what they do.
Yes or No, That’s the Question
This yes or no tarot thing, it’s for when ya got a question that needs a straight yes or no answer. No fancy stuff, just a simple answer. You ask your question, shuffle those cards up good, and pick one. Or maybe more than one, depends on who you ask, I guess.
You just want a quick answer, yeah, you just pick a card. That is the easy way. When you know better, you can pick more cards.
How This Whole Thing Works
- Ask a Question: First, ya gotta have a question in mind. Like, “Will it rain tomorrow?” or “Should I buy that new dress?” Somethin’ like that.
- Shuffle the Cards: Then, ya shuffle those tarot cards real good. Mix ’em up, think about your question. Some folks say you gotta do it a certain way, but I reckon just mixin’ ’em up is fine.
- Pick a Card: Now, here’s the part where the magic supposedly happens. You pick a card from the deck. Some people just pick one, some pick a few.
- Yes or No Answer: Each of these tarot cards has a meaning, they say. Some mean “yes,” some mean “no.” And some are kinda in the middle, like a “maybe.” So you look at the card you picked, and that tells ya your answer.
If you get two or three cards that mean good, then the answer is yes. If you get two or three cards that mean not good, then the answer is no. Easy.

- The Emperor: This one, they say it’s a strong “yes.” It’s all about being in charge and makin’ things happen. So if ya get this card, things are probably gonna go your way.
- Ten of Cups: This one sounds nice. They say it means happiness and good times. So if ya get this one, it’s a big “yes” to whatever you’re askin’.
- The Fool: This one’s tricky. He starting out fresh and new. Could be good, could be bad. This one’s more like a “maybe,” I reckon.
- The Magician: This fella, he’s got all the tools he needs. He can make things happen. So this one’s probably a “yes” too.
- The High Priestess: She’s all about secrets and listenin’ to your gut. This one could go either way. Another “maybe,” I’d say.
- The Empress: She’s like Mother Nature, makin’ things grow. Sounds like a good sign to me. Probably a “yes.”
- The Lovers: Well, this one’s about love, ain’t it? If you’re askin’ about love, it’s probably a “yes.” Otherwise, who knows?
- The Chariot: This one’s about movin’ forward and gettin’ things done. Sounds like a “yes” to me.
- Strength: This one’s about bein’ brave and strong. If you need strength, this card’s a good sign. Another “yes.”
- The Hermit: This one’s about bein’ alone and thinkin’ things over. Might be a “no” if you’re askin’ about somethin’ social.
- Wheel of Fortune: This one’s about change. Things are always changin’. So this one could be a “yes” or a “no,” dependin’ on what you’re askin’.
- Justice: This one’s about fairness and doin’ what’s right. If you’re askin’ about somethin’ fair, it’s probably a “yes.”
- The Hanged Man: This one sounds kinda scary. He’s hangin’ upside down. Probably a “no” on most things.
- Death: Don’t let this one scare ya. It’s not about real death. It’s about endings and new beginnings. So it could be a “yes” or a “no.”
- Temperance: This one’s about balance and harmony. Sounds like a good thing. Probably a “yes.”

I’m kinda in the middle. I don’t know if I believe in it, but I can see why some folks do. It’s kinda fun, I guess, and sometimes it’s nice to have somethin’ to help you make up your mind. You just think about your question real hard, pick a card, and see what it says. That’s all there is to it, really. Whether you believe it or not, that’s up to you.
